In June, The New York Times Style Magazine gathered a panel of prominent art-world folks for an interesting exercise: come up with a list of the most essential artworks made after 1970. The panel included the Whitney Museum of American Art’s David Breslin, the artist Martha Rosler, the artist Torey Thornton, the Jewish Museum’s Kelly Taxter, and the artist Rirkrit Tiravanija.
